
Leading by Example: Embracing Flexibility and Fostering a YES! Culture
Today, I reflect on how I am living our culture of employee engagement as a business strategy.
Leaders and employees need to be nurtured and provided with tools to thrive as individuals before they can help our customers, and the company thrive. Additionally, according to The Deloitte - Women @ Work: A Global Outlook, work/life balance and lack of flexibility are two of the three reasons women seek to leave their employer.
That’s why here in Canada, we are hyper focused on a true synergy of aligning personal needs with our business aspirations and customer demands. This empowerment fosters a culture of positivity and innovation, helping our colleagues ‘flip the switch’ on their thinking and create a "YES!" culture, that propels us forward.
And, that is why I am leading the way by leveraging flexibility to work AND be present for my beautiful daughter while she was home for Spring Break from her first year of University.
